Philippe’s experience in the areas of general management, operations, and sales and marketing was acquired in more than 40 years of multinational assignments in the telecommunications, Internet, and software industries. He specializes in the development of new business opportunities, establishing organizations in new areas, and integrating and optimizing resources in technology and rapid growth markets.
He has been a Board and Advisory Member to several Companies, from startups to multinationals.
In 2002 Philippe became a partner at MAPA Group, a business-development consulting organization and has assisted US software companies to identify partners and customers in Latin America, Spain and Japan.
In 2010 he created proAXIS in order to provide distribution of Software and Services in Latin America, Spain and Portugal through a network of local Resellers and Systems Integrators.
During 2019 he also was a Business Development Executive for Angola Cables, an Internet provider from Angola that deployed the first submarine cable in the South Atlantic.
From 1999 through 2002, he was the President of PSINet Latin America and Senior Vice President of PSINet, Inc., one of the major independent Internet services and Hosting companies of the late 90’s. In this capacity, he led the acquisition of 23 independent ISPs in 6 key countries in the region and consolidated the resulting businesses into an integrated operation with a streamlined management organization with a single corporate image: including a new IP network, and 3 hosting centers.
In 1998, he became Vice President of Americas and Asia for Lernout & Hauspie, a leading speech recognition and translation software company; after this company acquired Globalink, Inc., a pioneer software translation company he joined in 1996 as Vice President International.
Prior to that, he joined Software AG as Vice President Sales for the Americas, Asia Pacific, Israel and South Africa. He later became General Manager and Vice President International Operations for Software AG. He was later named Senior Vice President of Indirect Sales Worldwide reporting to the Board in Germany.
He also served as President of Sterling Software Japan. Previously he was Vice President International for Informatics, Inc., one of the leading independent system software companies for mainframes, which was acquired by Sterling Software.
Philippe, of French descent, was born in Buenos Aires, where he also studied. He holds an MBA degree from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and speaks Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, and has knowledge of German and Italian.
